Biological Monitoring
Chemicals with low vapor pressures, such as aromatic amines and isocyanates are not usually found in the manufacturing plant environment. Dermal exposure, i.e. skin contact, is the primary route of workplace exposure. Biological monitoring verifies that protective clothing and work practices are adequately minimizing workplace exposures.
