About Us

The Experts in Dermal Exposure Detection and Remediation.

Colormetric Laboratories, Inc. has provided biological monitoring analytical services for methylene bischloraniline (MOCA) since 1978. Aromatic amines (MOCA, MDA, TDA, etc.) are low vapor pressure solids and skin contact is the major exposure route. Although urine monitoring is invaluable in identifying exposed employees, it reveals little about how the exposure occurred.

In 1992, CLI introduced a range of direct reading detection systems for surface and skin contamination. These SWYPE™ detectors enabled the industrial hygienist to determine where and when the skin exposures occurred that contributed to biological exposures.

CLI continues to introduce new methods to detect and reduce skin exposures.

Breakthrough indicators for chemical protective gloves, PERMEA-TEC™ Sensors aid in determining the best glove for the job and useful life expectancy.

D-TAM™ Skin Cleansers are formulated to respect solubility characteristics inherent in chemicals and are proven more effective than "soap and water" in removing non-water soluble contaminants from the skin.

Custom made end-of–service-life indicators for respirators promote cartridge change-out before dangerous exposure occurs.
